Stop trying to get to the perceived unanswered question. Answer what is asked first, THEN look to expand if the recipient still has questions. Too often, we muddy the answer by over-explaining.

Sometimes we are so worried about the imposed goals forced upon us, we can’t focus on just getting the job done to achieve it. If you are too consumed by quotas, put it aside and focus on smaller goals that are achievable. The main goal will then take care of itself.
